BSc Mathematics and Economics

Developed by academics at LSE, this degree will teach you the economic reasoning, quantitative skills and institutional knowledge required to solve practical problems arising in finance.

This degree is for you if you are interested in developing the analytical tools and institutional knowledge required to work as a financial economist.

By studying this degree, you will:

  • Elements of econometrics
  • Asset pricing and financial markets

  • This degree will prepare you for a career as a financial economist whether in academia, finance (investment or commercial banking, risk management, research, fund management, or securities trading) or government. You could also gain entry to a master’s programme in this field.

    This BSc will help you to question and analyse information, develop arguments, and boost your analytical and communication skills – all of which are valued in management-related roles.
